French composer Claude Debussy said, “Music is the space between the notes.”
Tonight, I am inviting you to explore all the space around you to more fully absorb the things which ARE there, for which you have appreciation.
In tonight's meditation, take this time for you, to consider all of your wonderful qualities, and choosing one (patience, strength, peace, etc.) that you want to deepen within you, and taking this quality into your deeper rest and sleep.
Meeting so many today as I was out and about. In the storm, someone came out of the store to pick up a flag which had blown over in the wind. Watching genuine kindness in my small town brings me personal joy. Overhearing a group of veterans chatting about something, and laughing brought a smile to my face to share their happiness. What you value in others may be an attribute in yourself that you can value also. This can be what you focus on as you drift into sleep tonight.
Feeling some gratitude for our veterans tonight. It's because of them that we can sleep more peacefully. Tonight's guided meditation can help you sleep as you think of all the things that our veterans can teach us.
I was looking through some old photos on my computer tonight, and ran across this one of my last dog, Alpha. He was a white shepherd and border collie mix. Got to thinking about how grateful I am to have had him in my life.
Inviting you to explore gratitude for all of the wonderful pets that you have or have had in your life, and to drift even more completely into the sensations of joy, comfort, laughter, care, concern, and deep respect that you have had with your pets, old and new.
Tonight's meditation is inviting you to release and relax for the deeper purpose of making space for deeper healing and nourishment to make its way into those spaces that need it the most. Isn't it wonderful that we can receive this little by little, so that we can experience this more and more?
Just walking in my lovely part of the country, and got absorbed in the beauty of a babbling creek, swooping crows, Autumn leaves and the cool air. So grateful to live in such a place.
Thinking today about my friends who couldn't be more different from one another and I really am so grateful to have them all as my friends.
Tonight's guided meditation is noticing times that we experience grace (either for ourselves or when others are on the receiving end of someone else's grace) and feeling deep gratitude for these people who just are gracious as a way of just being. Noticing these people and times can give us great hope in these times.
Awareness, amazement, and awe are some of the very primal, organic expressions of gratitude. To be able to see something beautiful, smell something flavorful, hear some great music (or a bird), feel the cool air on your skin, and taste the clean flavor of pure water is awe inspiring. Enjoying the fact that you have the ability to do this and do it also is quite a beautiful expression of gratitude.
