Tonight is Halloween, or Samhain, in some other traditions. In that tradition, it is the equivalent of New Years Eve. And we reflect on what we might leave behind, so that we might walk into a new year in a better place, with greater capacity to give and receive grace.
Having deep respect for where you are invites all parts of you to relax and receive this great gift. In receipt of this great gift, we can get to the heart of who we are. And an even greater gift is the gift of grace with where we are.
Isn't it a great surprise to find someone who likes you just the way you are?
What do you want, deep in your heart? Many people want health. Many people want a good job, where they earn a lot of money, doing what they like to do, and having this meet key values. Many people want really good, close relationships. Many people want to develop a deeper spirituality. All are wonderful things to want.
Tonight is by a special request for a 5 point meditation. We will focus on the breath, the hands, the feet, the shoulders and the "third eye." Fun fact: when you furrow your brow in tension, the muscles used actually originate where the "third eye" is supposedly located.
