Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia

According to current treatment research, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) is one of the safest, most effective treatments for people who experience consistent difficulty falling or staying asleep.

This typically takes four to eight sessions to work.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is another evidence-based treatment modality for trauma, as well as other problems.  

EMDR aims to reduce your feelings of distress and strengthen helpful thoughts related to your traumatic event. EMDR does not involve (a) detailed descriptions of the event, (b) direct challenging of beliefs, (c) extended exposure, or (d) homework.

Solution-Oriented Hypnotherapy

According to current treatment research, hypnosis is one of the safest, most effective treatments which may help to allow both the body and mind to relax and let go of the anxiety that not falling asleep can create.

Hypnosis may also increase the amount of time that you spend in slow-wave sleep by as much as 80 percent.

Fees and Insurance Information

I am an in-network provider for many insurance plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Health Care/Optum, and Aetna.

For all other insurance companies, I am considered an out of network provider.  Some insurance companies will reimburse you for out of network services.  You can submit a Medical Receipt for reimbursement with an app called Reimbursify, and you can get reimbursed for some of the cost of services. 

Please be aware that insurance companies will require that I submit a diagnosis, progress reports and treatment plans that reveal your personal information, to get approval for future visits, and there is no absolute guarantee that information will remain private and confidential. Clients acknowledge and understand that they are waiving their right to confidentiality with respect to records and information requested by their insurance company.

Individual 50 minute session: $150

Cash, check, debit/credit cards, FSA/HSA cards are accepted for payment and is due at the beginning of each session.
